To provide detailed consideration of options and actions open to individuals who are being pursued by creditors of their successors in title.
Participants will be able to:
- Identify solid legal defences, where they exist; additionally the doctrine of appropriation will be fully discussed.
- Distinguish those cases that have an arguable defence from those that are better dealt with by way of settlement.
- Recognise how binding settlements ought to be drafted.
